Section of Death of the Virgin, Cloisters Collection

Section from Death of the Virgin"
Photograph taken on a recent visit to the Cloisters in Upper Manhattan. Due to a rekindled interest in woodworking, I was particularly interested in a German wood carving created in the late 15th Century from the workshop of Master Tilman. The light coming through the late morning window created a sharp contrast and revealed some of the intricate details of the woodcarving. Something to aspire to create.

Vintage Roma

Inspired by National Geographic's Photo archive "Found", I wanted to achieve a three-stip technicolor effect on some of my photographs. I decided to use this picture I took in Rome in 2011 and altered the color balance in Photoshop. Instagram probably has a filter for this, but it was fun trying to get this effect. Red Fox-Parker, Colorado

Deer were ubiquitous, but often times you see hawks, snakes, and sometimes at night you might hear a coyote. One morning I stepped outside to find this red fox lurking around the front door.

Jemma El Fna

Nighttime in Jemma El Fna, the main plaza in Marrakesh's Medina. This photograph was taken on the first night of 2012 trip to Morocco. This is one of the many food stalls that my travel companion Jesse and I sampled. We were pretty adventurous with what we consumed on that trip, ignoring conventional travel wisdom and sampling anything that looked good to us. We took pepto bismol a few times a day as a pre-emptive measure. Not sure why that worked, but we didn't get sick!
